Hi, being quite new to DA, I'm just getting used to coping with the amount of images coming into my mailbox. You can't help but scroll through and wait for something to catch your eye. This one stopped me in my tracks! Really balanced composition. I love the implied scale and how the fantastically modelled dragon interacts with it's environment and drops away to the depths. Your use of this medium is inspiring and you give the piece a real oriental feel with the play of light across the beautifully defined scale work. The carp are subtle additions which other artists might have over emphasised. Your eye is focused in on the "island" head above the waterline and then is drawn progressively down into the translucent river waters, encountering textures and details on the way. It's a superb piece of work.
